Sandown Race Tips & Analysis for July 10, 2024

Michael Kruse 6 days agoLast Updated: 10 July 2024

The Sandown Racecourse will be run on the lakeside track, the conditions will most likely be a heavy 8 potentially getting worse. The rail is in the true for the entire circuit.

Should race pretty fair early, but later on, keep an eye out for those that can swing wide and find better ground. Wet track horses a tick

Today’s Sandown racing tips can be found below,

Best Bet

Race 2: Expected Tempo: Strong

#3 IPHIMEDIA – $12

Looks WAY over the odds IMO.

Rates well in this field and is now 3rd up so should be fit and ready for the 1200m which he has performed well on.

Maps well just off the pace to peel wide and launch.

This is a nice drop in grade to what he has been racing in, closed off well last start going 3.3 lengths above benchmark from the 40o to the line.

Was right behind KIKO who is favourite in race 6 later in the day in a much stronger field.

Can play 1×3 each way at those odds.

*Saving also now on #2 HERBERT PARK with the heavy deck.*

Next Best Tip

Race 4: Expected Tempo: Above Average

Surprised to see the $10 around for this mare.

She has been building nicely and ran a nice 3rd to BERKSHIRE BREEZE which would start at what odds in this field?

This is a sharp drop in grade and get’s in well at the weights.

Only runs well i think. Will be backing each way 1×3.

*Confidence comes out a touch now with the heavy deck. Will have a saver on #10 THE DEVIL IN HER*

Best Each Way/Roughie

Race 6: Expected Tempo: Above Average

Love quite a few odds for this meeting (see below) but landed on this mare to be the best chance of the lot.

Will be one of the few that won’t mind a but of cut out of the ground.

The step up to 1200m is going to suit, was really cutting loose last start.

Love the booking of Beau Mertens.

*#9 STARLEA now comes into considerations on the heavy deck. Having a saver*

Race 7: #10 COUNT DA BEANS$35 & #14 HEURISTIC – $15
