BetMakers has partnered up with Norway’s top horse racing betting operator, Norsk Rikstoto, to become its official tote provider. The Australian racing, sports, and fantasy wagering company signed a 10-year agreement with the Norwegian pari-mutuel betting foundation thus becoming the only tote provider that operates in three of the four Nordic countries in Europe.
Norsk Rikstoto Will Use Quantum Tote Engine
The deal stipulates that BetMakers will allow Norsk Rikstoto to use its new tote technology, including the Quantum tote engine. Quantum will replace the system Norsk Rikstoto currently uses and it will be fully integrated into the existing Norsk Rikstoto terminal, mobile, and web platforms.
According to Todd Buckingham, the BetMakers CEO, the partnership will improve the access the Norwegian state-backed company has to “international commingling opportunities.”
It will also allow them to increase their revenue and turnover because they will now have more global content. Lastly, the partnership with BetMakers will also bolster the profile of Norwegian racing and betting internationally.
Advanced Tote Solution and Powerful Core Platform
Christofer Moestue, Norsk Rikstoto Director of Gaming Services, said that they were delighted they reached an agreement with BetMakers and that they would now be able to use their Global Tote solutions. He added that the partnership would allow them to reach their “desired outcome to be more competitive” in a fast-evolving and liberalized market.
Moestue went on to say that the betting system that BetMakers Global Tote would provide was going to be a crucial component in Norsk Rikstoto’s operations. So, they couldn’t take any chances and went with the most “sophisticated technological” solution in the industry that boasted a “powerful core platform.”
Moestue expressed his confidence that Global Tote’s advanced technologies and services would be easily integrated into their new betting system, and would improve their terminal, web, and mobile platforms.
Dominating the Nordic Market
BetMakers’ man at the helm, Todd Buckingham, was also excited by the prospects of the Norsk Rikstotopartnership and said that it was another important move for the company.
Buckingham was proud that BetMakers provided its services to three of the four Nordic countries that have betting on racing. Finland, Denmark, and Norway have all chosen BetMakers Global Tote as their tote services provider.
BetMakers’ CEO also praised the company’s expanding footprint in Europe mentioning Turkey, Spain, Ireland, Cyprus, and the UK as some of the markets in which they operated.
Buckingham said his company was committed to innovating and providing their partners with “technologically advanced systems” and investments in pool betting that would result in access to new racing content.
The Norsk Rikstoto deal is not the only partnership BetMakers signed recently. Last week, the Australian wagering company put pen to paper on a deal with the Royal Sabah Turf Club. The Malaysian racecourse operator and betting provider will also benefit from BetMakers’ Quantum tote engine and a “robust array” of gambling options.
