By striking the deal Sportsbet has ensured its significant presence on the Victorian greyhound racing scene and will be involved with the 13 greyhound racing clubs in Victoria.

GRV chair Peita Duncan was delighted that they have partnered with a renowned betting operator such as Sportsbet. She said that Victorian racing clubs would get “a range of growth opportunities” and that, together with Sportsbet, they would benefit from the increasing popularity of greyhound racing in Australia.
Ms. Duncan was confident that Sportsbet’s innovation and the bookmaker’s ability to engage with players will make customers’ experience better and will enhance their relationship with the code.
The GRV chief was also appreciative of the length of the five-year partnership, adding that Sportsbet’s long-term commitment would instantly result in “direct financial returns” for the greyhound racing industry in Australia.
Sportsbet Will Get the Naming Rights of Top Victorian Racing Events
Sportsbet chief executive Barni Evans was excited that the Flutter Entertainment brand would write an “exciting new chapter” in racing history and said that greyhound racing was “a core part” of Sportsbet’s business.
Mr. Evans went on to say that Sportsbet has always collaborated with the racing industry in Australia and that their partnerships ensured the industry’s growth and “long-term success.”
Under the new sponsorship deal, Sportsbet will get the naming rights to the most popular racing events in Victoria. These include the Sportsbet Melbourne Cup, Sportsbet Bold Trease, and Sportsbet Topgun.
The betting operator will also become a naming rights partner at The Meadows and Sandown Park and will have its name included in the five Saturday night events at the Sportsbet Metropolitan Greyhound Racing Festival. The bookie will benefit from the imminent Racing.com integration too.
