Weekend Racing Review – +7.7units – Saturday March 16th

Michael Kruse / 18 March 2019

Last Updated on 18 March 2019

We returned a total of 13.2units after outlaying 5.5units giving us +7.7units profit for the day

That gives us a total of +42.8units overall (Odds are recorded in top tote) Results found here.

What an absolutely beauty Verry Elleegant is, and yet, she still does so much wrong in her racing.

Can’t wait to see her true potential if they can get a handle on her manners.

How good was Mystic Journey in the All Star Mile?

3 wide the entire trip and still managed to run away with it across the line.

In our opinion, she would have to be up there as the 2nd horse in the country (we don’t need to name 1st)

Who beats Mystic Journey? Arcadia Queen? The Autumn Sun? Hopefully we get to see a clash soon.

Phar Lap Stakes +4.4units

Her racing manners seemed to be for most part, in check

Still looked a tiny little bit green to our eye but wow did she take them to the cleaners

She absolutely loves the wet ground, once she hit the 200m it was game over

Rosehill Race 1 +4.3units

Kerrin McEvoy does little wrong, doesn’t he?

You can always trust that your hard earned is in safe hand with this man behind the reigns

Star Of The Seas proved too strong late eating up the wet going

Super Vobis 3yo HCP -0.5units

Really seemed to like half a sniff at the 200m looming up quite well

Once the 100m came it was all over, fading while the others ran over the top.

I believe 1200m is his go.

All honours to Outrageous a fantastic sustained run.

TBV Thoroughbred Breeders +4.5units

We were bloody lucky that this race was not an extra 20mm

D.Oliver on Ready Set Sail was coming home with a wet sail

Flit managed to secure the win in a dead heat which halved his initial price.

But hey, a wins a win!

3yo Fillies Plate -1unit

Assertive Play looked to have peaked on his fitness around the 100m

Seemed to grab a check which certainly didn’t help his efforts, either way was fading

It’s a forgive run for me, possibly needed the run and will only strip fitter next outing

In the black book you go Assertive Play, we want our money back!
