Tabcorp is one of the first sports betting operators that have integrated AI technology to help and assist those at risk of developing a gambling addiction.

On Thursday, the wagering giant announced it had partnered with Mindway AI, a globally renowned artificial intelligence platform that operates in 20 countries and works with 6.5 million users.

The collaboration with the AI platform would help Tabcorp to better care for its customers, as well as to ensure a safe wagering experience.

Using State-of-the-Art Technology to Prevent Problems

Tapcorp CCO Jenni Barnett said the partnership was “a step forward” in the company’s efforts to reduce harm and provide an enjoyable experience to customers.

It would also allow Tabcorp “to use the world’s best technology” to better identify potential problem gamblers and to prevent potentially harmful behaviour.

Barnett claimed the company was taking proactive measures to help bettors and ensuring it stayed an industry leader when it came to caring for customers.

Early Identification of Problem Gamblers

Dr Amy Shi-Nash, Tabcorp’s Chief Analytics and Data Officer, said that Mindway AI would enable the wagering operator to identify wagering patterns that may lead to problem gambling.

She added that Mindway AI utilized artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and professional assessments to spot changes in behaviour and recognize when gambling can turn into a problem.

Dr Shi-Nash said Tabcorp would combine AI technology with their “deep understanding of customers” to deliver the “best-in-class” customer support service in Australia and globally.
