NBA Tips for the week starting Monday, 17th May
After the end of the second round we’re left with the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics in the East and the Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers in the west.
These are the same remaining teams as the 2020 bubble playoffs, with the Miami Heat being the first ever 8th seed to make the conference finals and the Lakers being the first 7th seed to make a conference finals.
It has been a very surprising and exciting 2023 NBA Playoffs.

- Nuggets vs Lakers
Our first bet of the week has game 1 of the series between the Nuggets and Lakers, the Nuggets who have had an unstoppable offence in the first two rounds have shown why they were the #1 seed.
With Jokic playing like the best player in the league and Jamal Murray stepping up into what we all know he’s capable of, they’re going to be tough to beat.
Whilst the Nuggets have been great, so have the Lakers. Heavily exceeding everyone’s expectations winning both their first two series as the underdogs behind great play from Anthony Davis and Lebron.
Both teams are yet to lose a game at home so far in the playoffs and I don’t see this changing in this matchup for the Nuggets.

- Celtics vs Heat
Our second best bet of the week has Game 1 of the Eastern conference finals with the Miami Heat in Boston to take on the Celtics.
The Heat, who have been the most surprising team in possibly playoff history, have made their third conference finals since signing Jimmy Butler making themselves the first 8th seed in the conference finals, they beat the Knicks in 6 games last round giving them time to rest before the conference finals.
The Celtics who just destroyed the 76ers in a game 7 behind the most points in game 7 history from Jayson Tatum, the Celtics will be rolling into this game with some momentum but may be a bit tired after a very neck and neck matchup with the 76ers.
Although the Heat are going into this game with more rest I think the Celtics are going to be very hard for the Heat to stop at home.

#3 Best Bet (NBA) Sunday, May 21st
- Lakers vs Nuggets
Our final best bet of the week is the game 3 Western Conference matchup in LA with the Nuggets travelling to take on the Lakers.
I see the Nuggets going into this series up 2-0 winning both their games in Denver. But I see the Lakers bouncing back here and continuing their at home winning streak.
