With a seating capacity of approximately 20,000, Ninja Stadium is smaller compared to major Australian stadiums like the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which holds over 100,000 spectators. However, it remains Tasmania’s premier sporting venue, hosting international cricket matches and Australian Football League (AFL) games.
The stadium was named Blundstone Arena following a sponsorship agreement with Blundstone Australia, a renowned Tasmanian footwear company. This partnership lasted for 13 years until October 2024, when the naming rights were acquired by SharkNinja, leading to the current name, Ninja Stadium.
The stadium can accommodate up to 20,000 spectators, making it the largest sports venue in Tasmania. Recent redevelopments, including the addition of the Ricky Ponting Stand, have enhanced its facilities and capacity.
