The Pakenham racecourse will be run on the synthetic surface with fair track conditions.

Front runners and on-pace runners are favoured, as they can maintain momentum and dictate the race.

Look for horses with strong early speed, those that can maintain momentum, and have a good record on synthetic tracks.

Today’s Pakenham racing tips for today can be found below:

Best Bet

Race 7: A BM58 race over 1200m. The expected tempo for this race is solid.

#3 SHARPER

Should be hard fit now 3rd up.

Didn’t love the heavy going last start, complete forgive.

Has won on this course and distance last year and it rated pretty well for this.

Will be on the bunny and prove hard to catch.

Next Best Tip

Race 4: A maiden race over 1000m, The expected tempo for this race is solid.

#7 POCKET SIZE

Rate her chances today.

Her first up run was clear above anything else this field has accomplished.

She gets the gun run from barrier 2 to be right on the bunny which should be advantageous.

Tommy Stockdale takes the ride who loves this track. Not aware of any trials leading in but the market support fills me with confidence.

Best Each Way/Roughie

Race 1: A 3YO MDN F race over 1400m. The expected tempo for this race is average.

#2 AMAHLE

Bit of a speck here, but didn’t mind the recent trial.

Has experience here and will be in the favourable position up on speed on the rail.

Might just take some catching.
