If you’re planning on driving to McDonald Jones Stadium there are a bunch of options available via Turton Road, the best way to get there is by typing “McDonald Jones Stadium Parking”, or “Hunter Stadium Parking” into google and it will bring you to one of the three main parking bays.
2026 season parking passes? Gone. But match day passes drop on Ticketmaster the Monday before each event. If you’re heading to the venue for a meeting or function, outdoor parking is free.
For sporting events, there’s a 10-minute drop-off zone at the North driveway off Turton Road. Concerts? Drop-off at Brown Road, Newcastle Entertainment Centre, with shuttle buses every 5 minutes.
Parking at the stadium is $10 per vehicle, and is a first-come, first-served style so if you are planning on driving car pool if possible.
The nearest bus stop to the Stadium is at Rex and Turton Road, New Lambton. Buses like the 13, 23, 25, 26, and 27 will all get you within a kilometre of the stadium. For details, check Newcastle Transport.
When catching a train to the Stadium Broadmeadow Station is the stop you want to get off at, and is about a 10-minute walk to the venue. Trains from Sydney hit Central, Strathfield, Hornsby, Gosford, Wyong, Morisset, and Cardiff on the way.

If you are flying in from somewhere else, Newcastle Airport at Williamtown is your landing pad, about a 30-minute drive to the stadium. For car rentals, you’ve got Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Thrifty, Enterprise, and Sixt. Taxis, Uber, DiDi, and buses are also options of getting to McDonald Jones Stadium from the Airport.
