Geelong Horse Racing Tips Fri 28/8/26
Big fields right through at Geelong, five races with a…

Quiet card at the Gold Coast, and we’re only keen on two of the eight. The track’s a Good 4 and the weather’s fine, so no dramas underfoot, this is more about where the prices make sense than the going. Both the ones we like sit in the $4 to $5 range. Vorkuta in Race 7 can settle midfield in a race with no obvious leader, and at that price there’s a bit to work with. Summit backs it up in Race 8 over 1400, doing his best work late. Nothing here we’re falling over ourselves for, but two at fair odds is enough to have a look.
7. Vorkuta $4.20
Barrier 5 · Midfield · No leader
The ones sitting back need a real turn of foot to make ground late here. #7 Vorkuta settles midfield from gate 5, closer than most, and the blinkers go on for a bit of extra sting. Brandon Lerena rides. #12 Immediate settles even further back at $2.45, so I’m not taking that short a quote on a horse with the same map problem. Give me Vorkuta at $4.20.
11. Summit $4.80
Barrier 4 · Backmarker · Genuine pace
The fav’s my knock here. #3 Precise Star is $4 but has to find a way from the carpark in gate 12. #11 Summit lands just off them from gate 4, gets the winkers on first time for Chris Waller, and there’s genuine speed up front for him to run at. I’ll take the $4.80 and the softer run over the shorter one stuck out wide.
