Big fields right through at Geelong, five races with a dozen or more runners, and real range on the card from 1147m out to 2470m. Soft 7 with mist about and not much falling, so it should be improving rather than easing as the twilight card rolls on, and with the rail out that far the inside isn’t the usual free kick. In’Kantosstar has caught the eye in race 7, a winner last start and firming from $2.70 into $2.20 for Ciaron Maher, and the same yard has Omnic in race 9, two wins already this prep and money coming from $2.90 into $2.25. Over Excited is worth another look in race 3 after that move from $7 into $2.70 for Anthony and Sam Freedman, while Think I’m Divine has placed twice this prep and sits at $4.20 in race 5. Selections drop here around 10am race morning once the markets firm.
