The weather looks fine, and the track should be in the good 4 range.

Race 1 #4 MIDNIGHT BLUE

The Favourite RIGHT YOU ARE looks way too short to entertain a bet so we’ve landed on this boy for an each-way dabble. Drops in grade a has barely run a bad race at this distance.

Race 2 #2 LACED UP HEELS& #3 SHUFFLE DANCER

Tough race. Could make a case for a few of these. The 2 mentioned have the best chance of winning.

Race 3 #3 ESPIONA

Massive spruik on this horse early and just seems to have faded on form lately. Happy to back this mare in and trust that Waller has her right to go here. Sydney’s form has been red hot of late.

Race 4 #4 SPACEWALK

Is building nicely this prep and should be able to go on with it here. RICH FORTUNE the obvious danger, Just think Spacewalk will be too hard to catch.

Race 5 #2 PERICLES

Hrmm, not a race we’re overly keen to bet into but we think Pericles has some scope for improvement of that first-up run.

Race 6 #6 IL PARADISO

Has not been seen since the Melbourne Cup of 2019. On his form, he looks way over the odds not to have an each-way ticket.

Race 7 #6 THE INSTRUCTOR

2 runs to date have been nothing but excellent and we see no reason to be jumping off now. A few punters out there suggesting that he might not run out a strong 1200m but we reckon Gai knows a thing or 2 and will have him rocking and rolling. Should prove hard to catch on speed.

Race 8 #3 MR BRIGHTSIDE

Happy to just sit and watch this race. Should be a great battle between the top 3. Landed on Mr Brightside with the run under his belt and track form

Race 9 #3 MASKED CRUSADER

This race could throw up anything so we’re hunting some value in the form of Masked Crusader

Race 3 #3 ESPIONA
