Today’s Moonee Valley Racing Tips

The Moonee Valley Racecourse is currently rated a soft 6.

There’s been plenty of rain around, and the track manager doesn’t expect the track to get any better than a soft 5.

The rail is true for the entire circuit, which typically favours those on speed.

Best Bets For Moonee Valley

Race 1: #9 MI ROCK ALY 1×4

I really wanted to be with STEEL RUN tomorrow off that first-up run, but gee, it just looks messy from the map.

MI ROCK ALY is an interesting runner I think can run a race.
Looks like the likely leader with minimal pressure, and I suspect they’ll probably travel anywhere from -3L to -8L below benchmark.

Could very well pinch this race with freshness back in the legs and an economical run. Great top 3 chance 1×4, BUR DUBAI is untapped, win wouldn’t shock. Save.

Race 5: #10 MY BROTHERS KEEPER 1×4

Rarely runs a bad race this boy.

Should be suited by the setup here.

Race 9: #1 JIMMYSSTAR 2×8

Few knockers about drawing on the fact of the gate.

It’s not an overly big field, so I suspect Ethan will be able to position him in the right spot.

Class should prevail.

Race 10: #8 SCILLATO & #3 AMELITA

Hard to knock this winning filly, who has done nothing wrong to date.

She looks to get the more economical run opposed to the fave, who is drawn wide.

AMELITA has to be respected, expecting them to be more positive.

3rd up off an interesting prep, smart Grand Final trainer.

If she’s within range, she could mow them all down.
