We built a tournament simulator that rates every team on attack and defence from their last 30 international matches, with recent games weighted heavier and a confederation strength correction so an easy qualifying run doesn’t inflate a side’s rating. For each match it picks a likely score, then derives three bets that are consistent with that score: the match result, total goals over or under 2.5, and the exact scoreline. Three bets per match, all built off the same predicted score.
The group stage is done and the Round of 32 is underway, so we now run the simulation off the real bracket. Results that have been played are locked in, and we simulate the rest 10,000 times to see how the draw plays out from here. Argentina come through as our clear favourite at 17.9%, ahead of England on 10.5%, co-hosts Canada on 9.8% and Belgium on 9.4%. The raised eyebrow in our numbers: Canada, playing at home, are the model’s third pick to go all the way.
For the full methodology, the Qatar 2022 backtest results, and a worked example showing how the three bets come out of a single predicted score, read about the KRUZEY World Cup 2026 model.
The group stage is complete, so the bracket below starts at the Round of 32. Matches already played show the real result in gold; the rest are the model’s projected path in green. It refreshes as each round is decided, right through to the final on 19 July at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.
With the knockouts underway, the KRUZEY model has Argentina favourite at 17.9% to lift the trophy, ahead of England on 10.5%, co-hosts Canada on 9.8% and Belgium on 9.4%. Those odds are conditioned on the real bracket: matches already played are locked in and the rest of the tournament is simulated 10,000 times from here.
The final is on 19 July 2026 at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. The tournament opened on 11 June with Mexico v South Africa at Estadio Azteca, Mexico City, and runs for 39 days across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The tournament has grown from 32 teams to 48 for 2026. The 48 teams are split into 12 groups of 4. The top 2 of each group go straight through to the knockouts. So do the 8 best third-placed teams across all 12 groups, which lifts the total to 32 teams in the new Round of 32 phase. From there it’s standard knockout football right through to the final.
The model’s most likely path has Argentina lifting the trophy, beating England in the final. Spain take third place, co-hosts Canada fourth. That is the single most likely bracket from here; the outright odds above come from simulating the draw 10,000 times, so plenty of other paths are live.
Match previews drop the day before kick-off. The bracket refreshes after each round of games, so you see the model react as real results land instead of a stale pre-tournament guess.
