Home to the St. George Illawarra Dragons, WIN Stadium sits at the eastern end of Wollongong CBD, offering stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.

This multi-purpose facility can host a wide range of sporting events and special occasions, boasting a capacity of 23,000 with around 13,000 seats under cover.

Getting to WIN Stadium

WIN Stadium is conveniently situated on Harbour Street, opposite the Steelers Club and directly next to the WIN Entertainment Centre. It’s just a 3-minute stroll from the City Centre down Burelli Street. Main entrances (Gates A, B, and C) are on Harbour Street, while Gate D on the beach side gives access to the general admission hill.

Travel Tips

  • Plan Ahead and give yourself plenty of travel time as the area can become quite congested on major event days.
  • Use public transport if you are able to.
  • Consider getting dropped off as there is extremely limited parking available.
  • If planning on driving, pay attention to street signs and be mindful of parking regulations.

Public Transport

Train

Wollongong Station is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from WIN Stadium. For train timetables on event days, visit Transport NSW.

Bus

The free Gong Shuttle bus is possibly the most convenient way to get to WIN Stadium. It runs a loop from Wollongong Station to the University via Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street, and the Innovation Campus.

Monday to Friday: Every 10 minutes between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM; every 20 minutes between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

Saturday: Every 20 minutes between 9:00 AM and 5:20 PM.

Sunday and Public Holidays: Up to every 20 minutes between 9:40 AM and 5:20 PM.

Taxi and Drop-Off Zones

Taxi

A taxi rank is located across from WIN Stadium outside the Steelers Club on Burelli Street, however, after games this rank can become packed, there is another taxi rank near the WIN Entertainment Centre at Crown & Harbour Streets which sees a little less foot traffic.

Staffed from 11:30 PM – 4:00 AM at Corrimal Street and Crown & Kembla Streets.

Pick Up and Drop-Off Zone

There is a pick up and drop off zone located on Burelli Street between Harbour Street and Corrimal Street.
