NRL Betting Tips & Predictions Round 7
The ladder is starting to take shape – and it’s…

Take the late 2025 stats with a grain of salt here. Both teams were pretty ordinary down the stretch – the Bulldogs went 1-4 and the Dragons 2-3, and neither were scoring freely.
On paper it looks even, but the power rankings tell a different story: Bulldogs at #7, Dragons at #15.
Canterbury have put serious money into their roster this off-season. The Dragons are still trying to figure out what they are.
That gap in squad quality is really what’s driving this one more than any end-of-season numbers.
The Bulldogs at $1.36 is pretty short for Round 1. I get why the market has them there – the roster upgrade is real – but that’s a lot of trust to put in a team we haven’t seen play meaningful footy in months.
The -8.5 line at $1.98 is where it gets interesting. A 12-point win is what we’re predicting, and if Canterbury come out with the intent they’ve been building towards, covering that line isn’t a stretch.
But it only takes one slow start or a freakish Dragons try to make it uncomfortable.
I’ll side with the Bulldogs to win. Small stake, eyes open.
