Titans vs Warriors Prediction

Ben Harris
Updated 1 August 2026

Rain and a moderate breeze on the Gold Coast, against a Titans side that loves to throw it around: this is a set-up I want the Warriors on. A greasy ball drags this into a grind, and that is the Warriors’ game all day.

The Titans Are Dangerous At Home, But The Warriors Have The Better Defence. A Wet Deck On The Goldie Suits The Side That Grinds.

Don’t be fooled by the ladder. AJ Brimson back in the centres makes the Titans a live home side, but I still make this the Warriors’ afternoon.

The offload becomes a liability

Light rain and a moderate breeze are forecast, and those conditions punish the side that plays with width and ambition. The Titans throw the most offloads in this game, and a slippery ball turns those loose passes into errors. Fewer second phase plays means fewer easy tries, and the total drifts toward the under.

The Warriors defend for eighty minutes

Their defence travels and it does not switch off. The Warriors squeeze sides through the middle and make you earn every metre, which is how a margin gets past four and a half while the scoreboard stays tidy. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad steps in at fullback for Taine Tuaupiki, and he is a safe, experienced head under the high ball.

The Titans are dangerous at home right now

Here is the risk. The Titans have won three of their last five to climb the ladder and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui leads them around the park, so the home side arrives with a lift. But the Warriors’ defence travels, and a scrappy deck blunts exactly the loose, ambitious footy the Titans need to spring the upset.

Titans vs Warriors Tip

I’ve got the Warriors by eight or so. They squeeze sides through the middle and make you earn every metre, and that is how a margin gets clear of the line while the score stays low.

Titans vs Warriors Key Stats

POINTS AGAINST
GLD26

WAR17

The Warriors’ defence is the whole bet. They hold their line for a full eighty, and that floor is what pushes the margin past the number while keeping the score low.
OFFLOADS
GLD11

WAR8

The Titans lean on the offload to create, but a slippery ball turns those loose passes into errors and shuts their best weapon down.
KICK RETURN METRES
GLD139

WAR170

The Warriors win the ball back further up the park, so they spend the day kicking from better field position and force the Titans to defend their own end.

Ben’s Verdict

The Warriors defend like the better side and I want them by more than a converted try. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is a safe set of hands under the high ball, and he is who I trust to steer the back end here. The Titans at home are the obvious danger, but I’ll take the side that grinds.

Player Prop Predictions

Alofiana Khan-Pereira to score a try, $1.57. Two in his last four and he’s on the right side of this one, with the Warriors grinding through the middle and the tries landing out wide. At $1.57 he only has to cross once.

Jayden Campbell to score a try, $2.75. Got over the line last start and that’s four from his last seven, so he’s live even with the Titans up against it. Near enough to even money he crosses again.

Kurtis Morrin to score a try, $6.25. Three tries across five but he’s blanked his last two, and against a Warriors side that makes you earn every metre the $6.25 tells you the story. One for the brave.

Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to score a try, $1.59. Three from his last five and he’s with the team I’ve got winning by eight or so. When the Warriors squeeze it low the points still have to come from somewhere, and $1.59 says he’s the one.

Phillip Sami to score a try, $2.03. Back on the scoresheet last start and that’s five from his last seven, the best strike in this game by a fair way. The Titans are chasing, which means plenty of ball out to his edge at $2.03.

I’m tipping the Warriors. Their defence holds up well, and I expect them to win on the Gold Coast by around eight, clear of the 4.5 line.
