Manly are favourite off four straight losses. Melbourne have lost their last three, so this is two cold sides, not a hot one against a cold one.

The difference is Cameron Munster back in the halves. I think the market has this one the wrong way around.

Nobody has a home ground here

Both teams cross the Nullarbor for this, so the Storm are the home side in name only. No crowd behind either of them, no familiar surface, and rain about with a moderate wind on top of it. That matters, because Manly have taken points off Melbourne at both of the grounds these two normally meet at. Strip the venue out and this is a much closer game than the price says.

Cameron Munster is back in the halves

Cameron Munster returns from a knee injury and goes straight into the halves. Jahrome Hughes is still out with a hamstring, so this is not a full strength Melbourne. It is a good deal closer to one than the side that lost the last three, though.

The case against me is the last time these two met

Manly won the most recent meeting 30-4, and the form guide on this page has the Storm beaten in their last three. That is a real argument and it is most of the reason Melbourne are the outsiders here. What is different is that Manly have lost four in a row themselves, and Melbourne are not putting out the same halves that lost those three.

The under is the leg I am least sure of

Melbourne hold the ball better than Manly do, and that counts for more when it is greasy. I will be straight though: 42 in a 47.5 game is a try and a kick of margin, and Manly’s last two games both produced plenty of points. That is the leg I am holding most loosely.

Sualauvi Faalogo to score a try, $2.10. Over the line last start and again the week before, so he is right in the middle of a purple patch. A try in three of his last six, and I have the Storm winning this, so $2.10 is fair.

Moses Leo to score a try, $2.15. Two last start, which is the sort of night that gets you noticed. He has crossed in two of his last four and the Storm should be scoring plenty in a 42 point game, so $2.15 works for me.

Nick Meaney to score a try, $3.35. He has been on and off, a try in two of his last four with nothing in between, and he is due to swing back on. Best price of the Storm blokes here at $3.35 on the side I have winning.

Jason Saab to score a try, $1.91. Blanked last start but he put up doubles in the two before that, so when he gets going he does not stop at one. A try in three of his last six and $1.91 is the shortest price on the card for good reason.

Tolutau Koula to score a try, $2.40. Crossed in each of his last two and three of his last five, which is exactly the consistency I want anchoring a multi. Manly need points if the Storm win by four like I expect, and Tolutau Koula is the bloke finishing them at $2.40.
