The Bulldogs are flying and favoured on the road. But Melbourne are short two of their best, and the real question is whether the Storm still stand up at home. I reckon they do.
The two big outs are the whole conversation, so let me actually answer it. With Grant and Munster gone, Jahrome Hughes has the keys, and the Storm’s home game has never lived or died on one bloke. They grind field position, they make you play from your own end, and they punish a side that has come a long way to be there. That does not vanish because two stars are in the casualty ward.
The Storm are hard to beat at AAMI
Canterbury have won just one of their last six trips to Melbourne, and the Storm’s home form is a different animal to their record on the road. A home side that owns its own ground sitting at better than even money is the value, and that is the spine of the bet. I am not leaning on it in every line, so here it is once and hard.

The Storm are the bet, and I am not going to hand the outs a free pass. Grant and Munster are big losses, no argument there. But the Storm’s home game is built on structure and field position, not two names, and Canterbury still have to come to Melbourne and break that down over eighty minutes. That is the ask I am backing them to answer. I have the home side winning with points in it, and at $2.54 for the straight win the market is doing me a favour.
