Raiders vs Tigers Prediction

Ben Harris
Updated 27 July 2026

The Raiders are flying into this one on three straight wins and they should be too good for a Tigers side that has lost five on end. But 15.5 points is a lot to lay on any home team in this comp, and that is where we want to be.

Odds correct at time of posting

The Raiders Have Won Three Straight and the Bookies Have Them by More Than Two Converted Tries. That Is Too Big an Ask Against a Tigers Side That Already Beat Them This Year.

The Raiders win the game. The number we cannot follow is the margin. Two converted tries and change is a lot to lay on any home side, however good the form line looks.

Fifteen and a half is a lot of points

The Raiders are deserved favourites and we are happy to back them straight up. But they go into this without Hudson Young for the rest of the year, and a side down a key forward does not hand out two converted tries and more. Even in a comfortable win, the Tigers only need a couple of late tries to cover.

The Tigers already beat them this year

These two met back in April and the Tigers won it by nineteen. Form has swung hard since, but a side that has your measure once tends to hang around. At plus 15.5 we only need them to stay within touch, not win.

Points stay down at GIO

Neither of these attacks is lighting it up, and the Raiders do their best work grinding sides down rather than racing them off the park. A tight margin and a low total travel together: if the Tigers hang inside the 15.5, the scoreboard tends to stay under 51.5 with them.

Raiders vs Tigers Tip

The Raiders win this at home, but not by the big line the bookies have set, so the value is the Tigers with the points.

Raiders vs Tigers Key Stats

KICK RETURN METRES
CBR173

WST145

The Raiders win the field position battle, which is why they win the game, but a yardage edge does not add up to a fifteen point beating.
POINTS FOR

WST20

Two modest attacks that do not pile on points in a hurry, which points us to the unders.
ERRORS

WST12

The Tigers cough up more ball, which helps the Raiders win but keeps this scrappy and low rather than a runaway.

Ben’s Verdict

Back the Raiders to win but take the Tigers to cover the 15.5, and pair it with the unders. The risk is a confident Raiders side putting a broken Tigers outfit away early. We will wear that at this price.

Canberra Raiders vs Wests Tigers FAQs

Who will win Raiders vs Tigers?

We are backing the Raiders to win at home. They are the form side against a Tigers outfit that has lost five on end, so the head to head is the safe part of this.

What is the best bet for Raiders vs Tigers?

The Tigers to cover the line at plus 15.5. The Raiders should win, but laying more than two converted tries on a home side chasing the finals is too rich, and the Tigers already beat them earlier in the year.

Will Raiders vs Tigers be a high scoring game?

We do not think so. Neither side is scoring in bulk, and we like the total to stay under 51.5. Take the unders.

Who do the Canberra Raiders play next week?

The Raiders play the Panthers - at Glen Willow Oval on Saturday 1 August in NRL Round 22.
