Roosters vs Knights Grand Final Betting Tips & Prediction
The Knights have earned this, and I still cannot get…

Nineteen and a half points is a heavy line and I am taking it. The question here is not whether Penrith are the better side, it is whether a side sitting second with finals seven days away can be bothered for eighty minutes on a Sunday against a team playing out its year. That is the whole bet.

Second on the ladder against a side playing out its year, and they want nineteen and a half of it. The risk is right there in front of you: Penrith have a qualifying final to think about, and a side with September in front of it does not always chase the last try.
I am taking it anyway. The Tigers have to actually score to keep this inside the line, and they have not been doing that. Penrith can play at three quarter pace and still be twenty up.
Penrith have won five of the last six meetings between these two, and the last one finished sixty eight to nil at this ground earlier in the year. That is the case for taking nineteen and a half in a sentence.
The same list also has Penrith getting home 18-14 and 18-16, so it is not all beatings and I am not going to pretend it is.
Round 25 sits on the Tigers form guide as a win over the Roosters by a single point, and this week’s NRL.com preview called it an upset of the year contender. That is the version of this side that beats a big line without ever winning the game. It is one result in their last five, and it is the one I keep coming back to.
Penrith are second and finals start next week, and the coast and rest week is the one thing that beats a nineteen and a half point line. What cuts against it is that this week’s NRL.com preview has them chasing top spot on the ladder, so they are not turning up here with nothing to play for.
Isaah Yeo is named among the reserves as he works back from a pectoral injury, and this week’s coverage has him building towards a qualifying final rather than this one. So the week ahead is on their minds. I am not spinning that.
What it does not do is fix the other half of it. Penrith at cruise still beat this side, and the Tigers have won once in their last five. A team has to score to keep a line honest.
Penrith have gone past forty eight and a half once in their last five and the Tigers twice, and I make this one about forty three points in total.
The honest problem is that my two numbers pull against each other at the extreme. A repeat of the last meeting wins the line and loses the total. Penrith in the thirties against a Tigers six gets both home, and that is the more likely version of this.
I have Penrith by thirty one at CommBank Stadium. That is a long way clear of nineteen and a half and I am not going to pretend the gap is small, but the Tigers have been beaten in four of their last five and this is a fixture Penrith have not had to work hard in for a while.
Back Penrith and back the under. The line is big and the price on the multi tells you nobody is handing this out for nothing.
I am taking it because the Tigers have to find points they have not been finding, and Penrith do not have to be at their best to get past nineteen and a half. If it goes wrong it will be because a side with nothing to lose picked the right week, or because Penrith spent this one saving themselves for the week that counts. Both are live. Neither is enough to put me off.
Jeral Skelton to score a try, $2.65. Jeral Skelton has crossed in back to back games and one of those was a double, so he is finding the line whatever is happening around him. A try in two of his last four at $2.65 is a steady leg.
Liam Martin to score a try, $3.60. Liam Martin scored two last start, and that is the second time in this run he has helped himself to a double. With Penrith set to control this one at CommBank Stadium, he only needs one look.
Liam Henry to score a try, $6.00. Liam Henry has a try in three of his last seven and every one of them was a single, so he does not need a monster night to pay. Against a Wests Tigers side beaten in four of their last five, $6.00 is generous for that strike rate.
Casey McLean to score a try, $1.93. Casey McLean got over last start, his second in five games. If Penrith win by anything like the margin I have them, there will be tries to go around and he is in the queue for them at $1.93.

| Our Tip | Multi: Panthers -19.5, Under 48.5 points & Jeral Skelton Anytime Try @ $8.83 |
| Predicted Score | Penrith Panthers 37 – Wests Tigers 6 |
The Panthers, and comfortably. I have Penrith by thirty one at CommBank Stadium against a Tigers side well out of form. The head to head at $1.10 is on the card and it will get there, but the line is the better version of the same call.
My headline multi at $8.83 rolls the line and total in with a player prop, Jeral Skelton Anytime Try. On its own, Panthers -19.5 at $1.84 is the anchor.
I am taking the under 48.5 at $1.81. I make this one about forty three points in total, and only one of Penrith’s last five games and two of the Tigers’ have cleared the number.
Round 27 is the last round of the 2026 NRL regular season, so there is no Round 28 fixture for the Panthers. What follows is set by where the ladder finishes.
There is no Round 28 fixture for the Tigers. Round 27 closes the 2026 NRL regular season and anything beyond it is confirmed once every game of the round has been played.
