Penrith are perfect at 5-0 with a +150 point differential that’s bordering on absurd. Melbourne just copped 50 from the Panthers and have lost three of five. The Tigers and Knights are the stories no one saw coming. And the Dragons are still searching for win number one.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs Penrith Panthers
Penrith put 50 on the Storm last Friday. They’re averaging 38 points a game and conceding just 8. Canterbury are 2-3 in their last five and scoring only 18.2 per game. The model has the Panthers winning by 22 – a full converted try beyond the 16.5 line. This is the most one-sided game on the card and the line is the play.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Manly Sea Eagles
Manly’s coaching swap to Kieran Foran delivered immediately – 52-18 over the Dolphins in Round 5. The Dragons are 0-5 and got shut out 32-0 by the Cowboys. On paper it’s straightforward, but both defences are leaking badly. The market has Manly by 6.5, our model says 3. That gap matters if you’re looking at the line.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canberra Raiders
Neutral site in Perth. Souths are 3-1 with Latrell Mitchell in career-best early season form – five tries in four games. The Raiders have dropped to 1-4 and copped a 32-12 belting from the Knights last week. Last year’s minor premiers look a shadow of themselves. Souths should win, but at 56% confidence, keep the stakes sensible.

Opportunity: Canberra’s talent says they shouldn’t be this bad, but 1-4 is 1-4. The Raiders are conceding nearly 30 per game and their attack has gone missing. Cronulla Sharks vs Sydney Roosters
Game of the round. Another Perth neutral-site clash, and the model disagrees with the market. The bookies have the Roosters as slight favourites at -0.5, but our numbers say the Sharks should win by 7. Cronulla are ranked 3rd, scoring 27.2 per game, and coming off a strong win over the Warriors. The Roosters are cold off a bye with a -7.0 differential. The value is on the Sharks.

Melbourne are still ranked #2 and they’ll be filthy after the Penrith humiliation – but the Warriors are actually outperforming them on points scored, points conceded, and differential over their last five. Parramatta Eels vs Gold Coast Titans
Two sides in the bottom four, but the Eels have the edge in attack – 22.8 per game versus the Titans’ 14.8. Parramatta will be stinging after the golden point loss to the Tigers on Easter Monday. Gold Coast can’t score and can’t stop the bleeding at 1-4. The -3.5 line is where the model sees value, with a predicted margin of 6.
