NRL Betting Predictions & Tips Round 8
Round 8 has something for everyone – a five-and-a-half point…
Friday, March 6, 2026
8:00pm AEDT @ Go Media Stadium, Auckland
No stats to lean on for this one – we’re going purely on feel and what we know about these two squads heading into 2026.
The Roosters have the more settled roster and the kind of spine that tends to show up in big moments. The Warriors at home in Auckland is never a gimme though.
Go Media gets loud and the Warriors have a habit of feeding off that energy early.
Seven points feels about right as a margin. Could easily be less.
The Roosters at $1.50 is a reasonable enough price if you think they’re the better team – which I do, just not by a huge margin.
The issue is backing a $1.50 shot away from home in Round 1 when you genuinely don’t know what either team looks like yet. That’s the kind of bet that feels fine until it isn’t.
The -4.5 at $1.90 is the more interesting option. If Sydney come out with their typical structure and the Warriors are still finding their feet in the new season, covering that line is plausible.
But away games in Auckland have a way of going sideways. I’ve been stung by that before.
Leaning Roosters to win, small. Not touching the line.
