Wyong Horse Racing Tips Thu 25/6/26

Wyong meeting abandoned.

We’ve gone through all seven at Wyong and found something to like in every race, so this is a full card for us, not a thin one. It’s a Heavy 9 with showers about, so it’s testing ground and the wet form matters. The map does a lot of the work on a track like this. Race 6 brings them out in force with nine runners over the 1000, while the rest sit in tidy mid-sized fields. Plenty going on, and the value is spread right across the day rather than parked on one horse.

Forecast for Wyong, New South Wales · WeatherAPI.com · captured 10:32am Thu 25 Jun
Race 1
12:45pm · 1100m · Mdn Plate · 7 runners

9. Love You Anyway $3.60

Barrier 3 · Midfield · No leader

No genuine leader here, and #9 Love You Anyway sits closer to it from gate 3 than the favourite, who has to wind up from right back. He keeps finding the line too, a stack of seconds without much luck, so the late kick is there when they bunch up. On a heavy 9 I’d rather take $3.60 on the one that finishes off than $2 on Southport needing to run them all down from further back.

Race 2
1:20pm · 1350m · Mdn Hcp · 8 runners

6. Don’t Doubt Frank $6.00

Barrier 4 · Midfield · Soft pace

Happy to take $6 on #6 Don’t Doubt Frank here. He ran fourth then third in his last two, gets a good gate 4, and Chad Schofield stays on for Brad Widdup. The favourite is no good to me at $3.50 from a wider draw when he has to round them all up late. Each-way at $6.

Race 3
1:55pm · 1350m · Mdn Hcp · 7 runners

6. Last Tour $3.20

Barrier 7 · Midfield · Soft pace

The favourite settles midfield too, so $2.50 on #3 Orange Tsunami is no good to me when #6 Last Tour plays the same hand for $3.20. Nose roll stays on, Alysha Collett rides for Brad Widdup, and a third and a couple of fourths lately say he’s knocking on the door. Gate 7 is the only worry in a seven-horse field. Take him.

Race 4
2:35pm · 1350m · Hcp (C1) · 9 runners

2. Onmalone $4.40

Barrier 6 · Pace · No leader

$4.40 for #2 Onmalone looks the right side of this. He won first up last start, draws gate 6, and with no genuine leader he can use that early speed to roll forward and dictate. The favourite has to settle back and chase from a wide gate on a heavy 9. I’d rather be on the one making the running.

Race 5
3:10pm · 1300m · Hcp (Bm68) · 6 runners

2. Debello $5.50

Barrier 1 · Midfield · No leader

No clear leader, midfield trip from gate 1, on a heavy track.

Race 6
3:45pm · 1000m · Hcp (Bm64) · 9 runners

2. Apollo Ridge $3.30

Barrier 3 · Leader · Hot pace

#2 Apollo Ridge is back off a let-up, which is when he goes best, and a couple of recent wins back that up. Gate 3, Braith Nock, and he should cross and lead on a heavy 9. There’s genuine speed engaged, so the risk is he gets no breather out in front, but at $3.30 over the 1000m I’m with him to win.

Race 7
4:25pm · 1600m · Hcp (C1) · 7 runners

7. Master Of War $4.60

Barrier 5 · Off Pace · Hot pace

Ear muffs on and a genuine speed battle to chase, that’s #7 Master Of War’s race. I’m on the closer at $4.60, not $2.60 on Fierceness doing the same from further back.
