Wyong Horse Racing Tips Sun 2/8/26

Eight races at Wyong and only two of them got us interested. The track’s a Good 4 under fine skies, so there are no excuses in the ground, and that makes it a straight read on class and gates. Generous Harry goes in the 1000m in race 6 from gate 3, and he should be handy in a race that gets run hard early. Sociable is the other one, sitting midfield in race 7, and a quick tempo up front suits him. Neither is a big price, so it’s a thin card where you take the two and let the rest go.

2. Generous Harry $3.10

Barrier 3 · Pace · Hot pace

#2 Generous Harry is drawn 3 with real speed on and I’m happy to take him at $3.10. He’s won two of his last six and comes back off a let-up for Ron Quinton, who gets them ready fresh. Matt Kirk can land him just off the leaders over 1000m. Cool Waters at $3.20 has to burn to hold the front from gate 2.

Race 7
4:10pm · 1300m · Handicap · 10 runners

4. Sociable $3.20

Barrier 5 · Midfield · Hot pace

I’m on #4 Sociable here. The winkers go on, he’s drawn 5, and with genuine speed on early Hyeronimus can travel midfield and pick them up late. Cuban Cigar has to come from the tail to run him down at $4. $3.20, done.
