Heavy 9 at Warrnambool, fine overhead but a proper testing deck for the jumps, so we went through the card looking for where the prices actually pay. Slomo at $6.50 in the fifth is the one that jumps out on value, a backmarker who gets a no-leader race to run at them late. Duke Of Clarence is short enough at $3.10 in the last, and from a field of 16 we’d want him a touch bigger, so he’s more a watch than a grab. Four we’re keen on across the meeting, a couple of nice prices and a couple where you’re paying up, so pick your spots.

Nose roll stays on. At $4.20, he’s the one I’m on.

He ran second last start and keeps finding the line. Golden Garden wants to do all the work in front at $2.50 on heavy ground, and over this trip that’s a big ask. Take him at $4.60.
