Heavy 10 at Warrnambool and three jumps races in the first five, so I’m not buying many of the short ones today. Triora in the last at $3.10 is our best. The rest of our tips sit $3.90 to $4.60, all against runners the crowd are leaning on harder. Heavy ground and jumps is where the obvious bets get caught out, so worth a look right down the page.

He’s $4 against the $3.70 favourite, both still trying to break through over the jumps, but Mr Lincoln’s the one with two wins on the card and a third since the let-up. Cillin Leonard rides for Chris Ryan, gate 8 isn’t perfect on a Heavy 10 over 3450m, but he’s got plenty of trip to find his spot. Bigger price, more proven, I’m on him.

He sits off them in a no-leader race, but the favourite is only two lengths closer at $2.30, so I’m not interested in odds-on for the same job. Tom Ryan rides for Shane Jackson from gate 6. Each-way at $3.90.

#6 Triora at $3.10 is the Best Bet for one reason: the winkers go on first time and the price stacks up against the favourite who has the harder job. Think Tank is $4.40 from gate 11 and settles further back, while Triora gets gate 8 and sits closer in a no-leader race. Will Gordon for Taige Weir, 2000m on a Heavy 10, he’s the one I want. Take Triora.
