No feature at Townsville today, just a Good 4 under overcast skies and a card that looks short on speed. That’s the angle we keep coming back to. Overland in Race 3 and Lone Force in the last both look like being handy, and I like $3.10 for Overland even from gate 9. Booming Belief has to come from back in Race 1, but she’s knocking on the door and the soft ground suits her. Our best bet is in Race 8, a nine-horse race where we want to be on the speed, and that one’s in the KRUZEY app.

There’s not much speed here and #9 Booming Belief settles back from gate 8, so that’s the worry. She’s knocking on the door though, running third then second this prep, and on a Good 4 she can come home strong third-up. #8 Somemoreplease has the same map problem from gate 7 with only one start behind her, and she’s $5. I’m with the form horse at $2.10.
