Taree Horse Racing Tips Tue 21/7/26

Quiet midweek meeting at Taree, and out of the seven races we’ve only landed on the one. The track’s a Heavy 9 even with fine weather overhead, so they’re still racing on testing ground and you want horses that can handle the wet. Red Spector in Race 6 is the one we keep coming back to at $2.40, drawn 3 and settling midfield in a nine-horse field. He’ll need a bit of luck through the middle, but he’s the one we’re keen on here.

12. Red Spector $2.40

Barrier 3 · Off Midfield · Soft pace

#12 Red Spector comes here off a win, drawn low in gate 3, and Ben Looker can park him just off the speed. That matters today, because there’s not much tempo about and Calypso Rocket has to give him a start from back in the field and reel it all in late. I’d rather be the one sitting closer on a heavy 9. At $2.40, I’m with him.
