Cranbourne Horse Racing Tips Fri 9/10/26
Nine races at Cranbourne and we're only keen on one,…

Soft 5 at the Sunshine Coast today, and with wind and showers about, the ground is only going to get more testing as the day goes on. That plays into what we like, because all three we’re keen on are off-pace or midfield types in races with no obvious leader. Magnetic Island is the one we love, drawn 2 in Race 2 at $7.50 in a small field, and he can pick his moment while the others sort out the lead. Miss Funny Honey in the 3 is the shorter one, but the value’s on the two roughies. Where it pays here is patience, sit off a messy speed map and let the wet ground bring them back.
1. Magnetic Island $7.50
Barrier 2 · Off Pace · No leader
No genuine leader here, so this sets up for one that finishes off. #1 Magnetic Island draws low in gate 2, keeps hitting the frame with a second and a couple of thirds lately, and Olivia Kendal can wind up and come over the top of them late. Tasman Bay at $1.50 is cramped for one that still has to find the front. $7.50, take Magnetic Island.
3. Miss Funny Honey $3.20
Barrier 3 · Midfield · No leader
Ear muffs on to settle her and a lovely draw in gate 3, that’s what I want in a no-leader scramble. #3 Miss Funny Honey lands handy at $3.20 while the fav has to close from wider. On her.
11. Redcloud $7.50
Barrier 12 · Off Pace · No leader
The favourite’s no good to me at $2.60. With no clear leader, Ninjask settles midfield and has the same closing to do, just at a cramped price. #11 Redcloud won last start, gets Gary Geran, and finishes hard when the tempo turns into a scramble. Gate 12 is the knock, but at $7.50 he’s the one I want. Take Redcloud to win.
