We keep coming back to $8 on Duel Venture in Race 5, and that price is the main reason we’re bothering with Sale today. It’s a Good 4 under fine skies, so no track excuses and the form should hold up. Duel Venture has gate 10 to deal with, but there’s genuine speed in front of him and he can settle off it and run over the top late. Korobeiniki in Race 7 is the other one we like at $5.50, she’ll get back in a race with no real leader, which is a risk, but the price covers it. Thin card, two worth a look, and the rest we’re happy to watch.

#10 Rhyme Dust is the query at $2.45. One start, one win, and now he wants to lead into a genuine tempo. That’s a lot to take on trust at that quote. #3 Duel Venture sits off the speed, has run third at his last two, and Jackson Radley can slide in from gate 10 and pick them off late. The wide draw is the worry, but at $8 I’d rather have him.
