Caulfield Horse Racing Tips Sat 10/10/26
Caulfield runs a staying card, from 1100m out to 2400m,…

Saturday metro at Randwick with the Bob Charley Stakes the feature, and the track has come up a Soft 6 with fine weather overhead. Six we like out of ten races, which is plenty to get stuck into on a winter card. Wayburn in the 3 is the one we keep coming back to, drawn 1 with no obvious leader in the race and at a fair price. A few decent prices on offer through the early races too, before the feature later in the day.
1. Seeiaye $5.50
Barrier 7 · Off Pace · Genuine pace
Genuine speed on paper, that’s the setup #1 Seeiaye wants from off the bridle. First-up run was a non-event, but he’s fitter for it second-up, the tongue tie stays on, and Josh Parr times these runs well for Peter Snowden. Lord Horatio is short at $3.90 as a one-start leader who has to make his own pressure against a genuine tempo. At $5.50, I’m with Seeiaye to round them up.
14. Whoa Nellie $6.50
Barrier 8 · Midfield · No leader
#14 Whoa Nellie has won his last two off a let-up and we still get $6.50. Tyler Schiller stays on for Brad Widdup. He maps in the same midfield spot as the fav, but Perfect Justice is $3.60 from gate 9 with the same no-leader problem. I’m with the horse in form at the bigger quote.
8. Wayburn $3.50
Barrier 1 · Pace · No leader
#8 Wayburn from gate 1, no genuine leader, and Nash Rawiller rides for Matthew Dunn. The favourite Exit Fee has to come from midfield to chase him down on a Soft 6, and at $3.40 that’s no edge over our $3.50. Coming off a second last start with a win two back, he rolls forward in a race begging for it. Take Wayburn.
4. Tequisoda $10.00
Barrier 6 · Midfield · No leader
Ten bucks about #4 Tequisoda is the kind of overs I’m chasing. Third last start and won the one before that, blinkers stay on, and Kerrin McEvoy keeps the ride for Brad Widdup. Decalogue at $3.20 has to roll forward and stay there in a no-leader race over 2000m, that’s a lot to ask. Tequisoda picks them off late from a midfield spot. I’m on her at $10.
1. Amazing Eagle $5.50
Barrier 8 · Off Pace · Genuine pace
$2.40 about a first-up favourite over 1000m? Not for me. #1 Amazing Eagle is second-up off a freshen after running a nice second, Nash Rawiller rides for Bjorn Baker, and the genuine speed plays into his hands from midfield. $5.50, on him.
3. General Salute $4.40
Barrier 4 · Backmarker · No leader
I’m on #3 General Salute at $4.40. Resumes off the spell with the synthetic hoof filler off first time, Josh Parr stays on, gate 4. Last prep he kept finding the frame without one quite falling his way. The fav Wanaruah is shorter at $3.50 having to roll forward from gate 10 in a no-leader race, and if the speed burns each other off General Salute runs over the top of them.
