Good track at Port Augusta with a fine day overhead, so the going won’t sort them out. The market’s gone short on a few here, but the one we keep coming back to is Cradle Of Jazz in Race 6 at $3.10. Only nine line up and she maps to get the right run from gate 2. Four we’re keen on across the day, and we’d rather take a price on the ones the market has underrated than chase the cramped favourites.

Genuine speed up front, blinkers on, and #10 My Truth gets the rail to swoop off the back of it. He’s back from a spell and ran third first-up, so he’s ready to go. The favourite has to wind up from midfield and I’m not paying $3.20 for that. Give me My Truth at $4.60 to run over the top of them.

#5 Cradle Of Jazz won last start and I’m sticking with him here. Drawn 2, the blinkers and visors stay on, and even with the soft tempo he’s got the late kick to pick them off from midfield. The favourite is no better than the same $3.10 sitting closer, so I know which one I want. Take Cradle Of Jazz at $3.10.
