Good 4 at Pinjarra and fine overhead, so the track won’t be anyone’s excuse today. Eight races on the card and we’ve only landed on four, all of them at a price. There’s no standout here, just a few we like where the market looks a touch generous. White Hot in the 2 and Miss Esprit in the 6 are the ones we keep coming back to.

The favourite has to find a spot from out wide, while #9 White Hot draws the inside at 3 and has been knocking on the door, two thirds and a fourth since coming back. At $9 in a race with no genuine leader, I’m happy to take the value on the one with the better gate and the bigger price.

Genuine speed up front, and that’s exactly what suits a midfielder. #6 Pariah’s Thanks won a couple of runs back and placed since, Holly Watson stays on, and at $9 she’s miles over the odds on Berry Blast at $3.50. The leaders cook each other up front while she rounds them up late. I’m on her each-way.

Yeah, I’m on #1 Friar’s Legacy here. He keeps finding the line, and at $8.50 the fav settling even further back at $3.30 makes no sense to me. Take the bigger price.

Blinkers go on for #10 Miss Esprit, and from gate 2 she can finally sit closer instead of giving them a start. The favourite has to come from out wide at 11, so I’d rather take the inside draw and the gear change. At $10, I’m on her each-way.
