Northam Horse Racing Tips Thu 25/6/26

$3.80 on Jimmy Angel in Race 6 is where we keep landing at Northam. He sits just off the pace over 1400m, and at that price he’s worth a look. Track’s a Soft 5 with showers about, nothing too testing, so the better gates and the better-placed runners hold an edge. Just two we’re keen on here, a thin card for us, so we’re not chasing every race. The other one is Capitola at $8 in the 1000m sprint, a bit of overs if she gets her run from off the speed.

1. Capitola $8.00

Barrier 7 · Off Pace · Soft pace

$2.25 for #4 Admire The Girl is short enough when they won’t go hard, and she still has to make it count from the rail. #1 Capitola settles off them, but she knows how to finish over the top of them late, Clint Johnston-Porter stays on, and she draws gate 7. The worry is whether she can reel them in without much speed on, but at $8 I’m happy to take the swooper.

Race 6

1. Jimmy Angel $3.80

Barrier 7 · Off Pace · Soft pace

I’m with #1 Jimmy Angel at $3.80. He’s been finding the line, a win and a couple of placings lately, and even with no real speed on he comes home too strong for me to worry about him settling back. Take him over the $3.30 fav.
