Northam Horse Racing Tips Thu 18/6/26

$6 for Bhullar in the opener is the price we keep coming back to at Northam. It’s a Soft 6, which suits a horse that gets back and runs on, and over 2200m there’s plenty of time for that to matter. Three we like across the eight today, but Bhullar in Race 1 is the one we keep landing on. From gate 5 he can sit off them and pick the race up late, and at that price we’re happy to be patient.

5. Bhullar $6.00

Barrier 5 · Off Pace · Soft pace

Soft, off pace trip from gate 5, on a soft track.

Race 6
5:35pm · 1000m · Hcp (C5) · 9 runners

7. Art Session $7.50

Barrier 6 · Leader · Genuine pace

#7 Art Session can bowl along in front and that’s what I want at $7.50. Natasha Faithfull rides for the Pearce yard, he’s run two fourths in a row, and from gate 6 over the 1000m he should roll forward early. The favourite Allentown sits off the speed at $2.90 and has to chase him down. I’d rather back the one making his own luck at the bigger price.

Race 8
6:43pm · 1400m · Hcp (C3) · 18 runners

2. Soso Lucky $9.00

Barrier 4 · Midfield · Genuine pace

The favourite has to come from gate 16 in an 18-horse field, and I’m not taking $3.90 on I’m Odette to get caught wide the whole way. #2 Soso Lucky has been running a heap of seconds and draws the inside in gate 4. At $9, I’m on him.
