Launceston Horse Racing Tips Fri 16/10/26
Soft 5 at Launceston with the rail out 6m the…

Soft 7 at Muswellbrook and the track’s come up fine overhead, so no excuses on the ground today. We’ve only landed on three, and the one we keep coming back to is Brazil in the 5 at $4.80. He sits midfield in a race with no genuine leader, and from gate 4 that gives him every chance to be there at the business end. If you want a price, Bumbling Artie at $10 in the 3 is worth a look, a maiden over 1000m where nothing wants to lead. Dunwithya in the 6 rounds it out. Thin card, but those three read well to me.
2. Bumbling Artie $10.00
Barrier 6 · Midfield · No leader
The winkers going on first time is the hook here. #2 Bumbling Artie ran third last start, gets Jean Van Overmeire aboard, and comes up at $10 while the favourite sits at $2.25. That’s too short for #3 Nielsen Park off a run of well-beaten efforts. Give me the horse with the fresh gear and the bigger price in a small field. I’m happy to take Bumbling Artie at $10.
1. Brazil $4.80
Barrier 4 · Midfield · No leader
$2.10 for #3 Prince Harrison doesn’t stack up when he settles well back in a race with no leader to chase. #1 Brazil sits closer from gate 4, gets the cross-over nose band on, and comes back off a let-up having won a couple of starts before the break. I’d rather have $4.80 on the one who’s handy than take odds-on for a horse giving them a start.
1. Dunwithya $5.00
Barrier 9 · Midfield · No leader
I’m on #1 Dunwithya at $5. No genuine leader here, so the whole field runs off the speed, and with the blinkers on he can build into it from midfield. The favourite settles even further back and does the same job at $3.50, so I’d sooner take the $5.
