Seymour Horse Racing Tips Sun 11/10/26
No rating posted yet at Seymour, but it's sunny with…

We’ve gone right through all eight at Moe, and it’s the bigger prices that catch the eye more than the short ones. It’s a Heavy 10 with showers about, so we want horses that handle the wet and aren’t racing on the map. Where we’re keener is up the market a bit, $6 for Sotomayor in the 5 and Furtherest Point in the 6, and $9 on Thunder Zeus in the 7. Nothing here we love enough to call it the play of the day, but a few worth a look if you like a wet-track punt.
2. Mungerannie $10.00
Barrier 5 · Backmarker · No leader
No clear leader, from the back from gate 5, on a heavy track.
8. Red Rabbit $3.10
Barrier 1 · Midfield · No leader
The $1.95 on #2 Eton Affair doesn’t tempt me. #8 Red Rabbit is where I’m at. He draws the rail in gate 1, Beau Mertens stays on, and on a heavy 10 that low draw counts for plenty. He was placing consistently before a spell, and even allowing for a well-beaten first-up run, at $3.10 I’d sooner take the overs than the short one. Have it each-way.
8. Come Dancing $4.60
Barrier 7 · Midfield · Soft pace
I’m sticking with #8 Come Dancing here. Busuttin and Young have him ready, he placed last start, and Beau Mertens knows how to time a run. He settles midfield from gate 7, but he comes home strong and this looks the day he finishes it off. The $1.85 fav #2 Divine Provenance is first-up off a beaten run and has to do all the work in front. At $4.60, take Come Dancing to win.
6. Ngongotaha $3.20
Barrier 2 · Off Pace · Soft pace
#6 Ngongotaha has been getting closer each run, fourth then third then second, and looks ready to break through. Gate 2, Maskiell stays on, and he runs on hard late. At $3.20 I’d take him over the $2.90 fav #7 Overpriced. On him.
7. Sotomayor $6.00
Barrier 8 · Midfield · No leader
Tongue tie goes on #7 Sotomayor for the first time and that’s the hook. Brad Rawiller sticks for Matt Laurie, and with no genuine leader he can push forward from gate 8 and land closer than the draw suggests. The favourite Deadly Press has the same map worry at $4.20. I’ll take the $6 to win.
5. Furtherest Point $6.00
Barrier 9 · Off Midfield · Soft pace
Where’s the value in race 6? #5 Furtherest Point at $6. The staying trip on a heavy 10 suits him, he’s been thereabouts with a win in the mix, and he gets over the top of them late. Nose roll stays on for Michael Kent, and from gate 9 over 2447m he’ll land closer than the draw looks. The fav Winston has to do all the leading in the wet at the shorter quote. I’ll take the $6 coming home.
12. Thunder Zeus $9.00
Barrier 2 · Midfield · No leader
Gate 2 in a no-leader race, that’s the angle I want on #12 Thunder Zeus. The $3.60 fav #6 Power Pivot has to come from gate 9 and settles even further back. At $9, I’m on the overs.
10. Steamy Mist $6.50
Barrier 4 · Midfield · Soft pace
Matt Laurie adds blinkers and ear muffs to #10 Steamy Mist for the first time and keeps Patrick Moloney on. He won two back and ran third last start, drops into gate 4, and lands midfield while the $4.40 fav #14 Gina’s A Star sits further back and has to weave through on a heavy 10. $6.50, I’m on.
