Good track and fine weather out at Marble Bar, so no excuses in the going today. It’s the Cup meeting, six races, and we’ve only found one worth a look. Reginald draws the fence in Race 5 over 1600m, and off the pace he can creep into it late. At $6.50 for him, that’s the price we keep coming back to.

1. Reginald $6.50

Barrier 1 · Off Pace · Soft pace

The favourite has to swoop from the outside gate and settle last at $3.50, and in a soft-run race that’s a big ask. #1 Reginald draws the fence, won last start with a third the run before, and the blinkers go on first time to help him finish over the top of them. From gate 1 he lands close and only needs that late kick to hit. $6.50, on him.
