Kilcoy Horse Racing Tips Tue 30/6/26
Southoftheborder jumped off the page when I went through the card, and the $10 on him in Race 5 is the sort of number we like to take on at Kilcoy. The track’s a Soft 6 with cloud overhead, so nothing too testing, but it still pays to be picky here. We’ve landed on five we’re keen on across the eight races, and it’s the prices that make this card worth a look. Nothing we’d call a standout, just a few honest runners at numbers that read well.

#6 Alkebulan draws gate 3 and maps to land closer than most in a race with no clear leader. The favourite has to come from gate 8 and settle near the tail, so I don’t want $2.45 on a horse needing the race to fall its way. Alkebulan keeps finding the line, two thirds in his last few starts, and Brandon Lerena stays on. At $4.40 with the softer run, I’m on him.

4. Before Anyone Else $3.80

Hot speed up front, and the favourite has to make it. #2 Switch The Stars at $1.80 burns petrol leading over 800m while #4 Before Anyone Else drops in off the rail from gate 1 and pounces late once the front-runners fold. Two wins and a couple of placings in his recent runs. $3.80, give me the chaser.

6. Lift’N’Mehigher $7.00

Tongue tie on, drawn on the rail, and #6 Lift’N’Mehigher comes off a win. At $7 against the $3 favourite, I’m happy to take that price with the inside draw doing the work.

5. Southoftheborder $10.00

Ten bucks for #5 Southoftheborder is overs I’ll take. Blinkers on first time, gate 3 on the inside, and he’s been hitting the line with a third and a fourth lately. #4 Lights Will Guide is no good to me at $2.90. Each-way.

3. What Did You Say $8.50

Skip the $3.90 favourite, drawn the carpark in gate 10 and forced to work across to find a spot. #3 What Did You Say gets the rail from gate 1, settles back but comes home hard, and he’s got a recent win and second to lean on. At $8.50, all over him.
