Kembla Grange Horse Racing Tips Sat 20/6/26

Tidy little card at Kembla Grange, and the four we like are spread right through the day. The track’s a Soft 5 with fine weather overhead, so nothing nasty underfoot, just honest racing ground. Rose Of Fenway is the one we’re keen on in Race 4. She maps to lead in a race with no real pressure up front, and $3.00 on her looks fair when she gets her own way out there. The rest is about taking the right price on horses that can use the gaps.

Race 1
11:50am · 1000m · Mdn Plate · 9 runners

15. Pistoleer $4.60

Barrier 7 · Off Pace · No leader

$1.90 for #14 Thyme To Go is too short for me here. With no genuine leader, this turns into a swooper’s race, and #15 Pistoleer ran third on debut for Bjorn Baker and looks the type to come home over the top of them. Chad Lever takes the ride from gate 7. At $4.60 against an odds-on fav still trying to break through, I’m on him.

Race 2
12:30pm · 1200m · Mdn Hcp · 11 runners

10. Yeszem $9.00

Barrier 7 · Off Midfield · No leader

Blinkers go on #10 Yeszem, and that’s enough to get me interested at $9. He’s been knocking on the door lately with a second and a third in his recent runs, and the gear should sharpen him up from midfield. No genuine leader here means the closers get their shot late, and Grant Buckley times his runs well from gate 7. The fav’s $2.70 from the same part of the field, so $9 is too good to leave out.

Race 4Best Bet
1:40pm · 1400m · Hcp (C1) · 10 runners

4. Rose Of Fenway $3.00

Barrier 6 · Pace · Soft pace

Soft tempo here, and #4 Rose Of Fenway can bowl along in front from gate 6. She won first up off the spell last time, Van Overmeire stays on, and the leader looks the one to catch on a soft track. The favourite has to chase her down from midfield, so I’d rather be on the horse making the running at $3.

Race 6
2:50pm · 2000m · Hcp (Bm64) · 9 runners

2. Tequisoda $4.40

Barrier 5 · Midfield · No leader

#7 Villa Castina is $3.90 and settles even further back than mine from a wide gate, so the short one’s no good to me. #2 Tequisoda gets the tidier run from gate 5 in a race with no genuine leader, and at $4.40 I’d rather take him. Have him.
