Eight races at Ipswich and only three we’re keen on, so this is a picking, your, spots afternoon rather than a full card play. The ground is a Soft 5 with cloud about, so nothing extreme, just enough sting to make the good gates matter. Bee Exact in the last is the one we like most, and at $6 for him there’s a bit of room in the price even from gate 10. The other two are shorter and simpler. Yoweri gets his chance over the 800m and Lady Milan can roll forward in the 7. The rest of the card can go without us.

Over 800m from gate 7 he’ll be giving them a start, and with no genuine tempo on that’s the risk, but he keeps finishing off hard enough to run over the top of them. #5 Runaround Sue gets the fence and will bowl along in front, and at $3.80 she’s the one who has to do all the work. I like Yoweri at the bigger quote.

Blinkers on, Daniel Moor for Gollan, and genuine speed to chase over the 1100m. #3 Lady Milan won two back, ran third last start, and I’d rather have her at $3.40 than #5 Magic Moz resuming off a spell. Have her.

Everyone’s on #11 Shining Proisir at $4.40, and he settles no closer than mine does. #3 Bee Exact was in the placings three runs straight before a flat one last time, gate 10 is the only knock, and at $6 I’d rather have him. Take him to win.
