Hawkesbury Horse Racing Tips Thu 15/10/26
All Star caught the eye early in race 7, three…

Fine day at Hobart, but the track’s a Soft 5 and there’s still some give in it, so the speed they’re backing might not hold up late. That’s where we’re against the market. Most of our five are off-pace types getting back and running on, and the prices read well for it, Geegees Mercedes at $8.50 in the 4 and Dancing Wolf at $9 in the 9. Alpine Fury in Race 6 is the one we keep coming back to. He’s the shortest of our lot at $4, sits off them, and looks the bet over runners that have to lead and find. Few we like here, and most of the value is with the horses that come from behind.
8. Geegees Mercedes $8.50
Barrier 9 · Off Pace · Soft pace
#8 Geegees Mercedes won first up off the freshen, and now the cross-over nose band and tongue tie both come off, gear that lets a horse breathe and finish his race. The pace looks soft, but he knows how to run over the top of them late. The favourite, #4 Lawrenny Boys, leads from the rail yet keeps finding one better, and $4.50 is short enough on that. At $8.50, I’m on him.
2. The Real Man $8.50
Barrier 1 · Off Pace · Soft pace
$8.50 for #2 The Real Man is the kind of price I’m chasing. He draws the rail, has won two of his last four, and even with no real speed on he knows how to come home over the top of them late. Daytona Diva at $1.55 is too short for a backmarker who has to give him that start. On The Real Man.
1. Alpine Fury $4.00
Barrier 4 · Off Pace · Soft pace
I’m with #1 Alpine Fury here. He’s first up off a freshen, draws gate 4, and Codi Jordan stays on. The pace looks soft, but he’s got the late kick to pick them off, so settling back doesn’t worry me. Tribal Council at $6 has to find one out of midfield. At $4, take Alpine Fury to win.
3. Regal Hunter $6.00
Barrier 1 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Genuine speed on and #3 Regal Hunter draws the rail off midfield, set to pick them off late. The fav’s out in gate 13 doing all the work to get over. $6, I’m on.
8. Dancing Wolf $9.00
Barrier 1 · Off Pace · Soft pace
Blinkers go on for the first time on #8 Dancing Wolf, and from the rail that gear can be the difference, sharpening him up to run home hard late. The pace looks soft, but he settles handy enough off gate 1 to land that late kick. Flying Billie leads at $3.20 and has to hold them off; I’d rather take $9 on the one doing the finishing.
