Cranbourne Horse Racing Tips Fri 9/10/26
Nine races at Cranbourne and we're only keen on one,…

Quiet Wednesday down at Hobart, and it’s a Soft 5 under grey skies. Four we’re keen on out of the ten, and the ones we like are spread late rather than early. Just A Needs in the last is the one we keep coming back to at $5, even though she’ll be giving them a start and the tempo up front looks genuine. That’s the read across most of this card. The speed is on in a few of these, so the horses coming from behind get their chance.
10. Tsuyoi Kitsune $3.10
Barrier 13 · Midfield · Hot pace
The winkers go on for the first time here, and he’s second up off a fresh second. #10 Tsuyoi Kitsune has to work across from the outside gate, no hiding from that, but with genuine speed on up front over 1100m a midfield run is exactly where I want him. Troy Baker’s aboard for Sarah Cotton. Happy to take $3.10.
5. Sky Land $4.00
Barrier 2 · Pace · Soft pace
Not much speed in this, and #5 Sky Land draws gate 2 with Craig Newitt to make use of it. She won three starts back and only needs to bounce out and roll along. #4 Geegees Missile is $1.75 and has to chase her down from gate 7. Easy at $4.
4. Geegees Mercedes $4.20
Barrier 10 · Pace · Hot pace
Give me #4 Geegees Mercedes at $4.20 here. They’ll go hard up front, so Darmanin can drop her in behind the speed from gate 10 and let her come home over the top of them. To win, no cover.
2. Just A Needs $5.00
Barrier 5 · Backmarker · Hot pace
They’ll tear along up front over the mile, and that’s exactly what you want when your horse is coming from the back. #2 Just A Needs is $5 and can pick them off late. #6 Henley Extreme settles even further back and only pays $4.20. Have her.
