Gunnedah Horse Racing Tips Mon 20/7/26

Quiet one at Gunnedah today. Seven races on the card and only two we’re keen on, so this is a meeting to be picky. The track’s a Good 4 and the weather is fine, so no excuses about the ground. We keep coming back to Cassie’s Angel in Race 5 at $9.50, a price that looks overs for a horse that can slide into it from midfield.

5. Brighella $6.50

Barrier 7 · Midfield · No leader

$1.55 for #1 Zubba Storm is skinny in a race with no clear leader, and yeah he won last start, but he settles midfield same as my bloke. #5 Brighella has been thereabouts all prep, thirds and seconds with a win in there, and Olivia Dalton jumps aboard from gate 7. Both run the same race, so I’ll take $6.50 each-way over odds-on any day.

1. Cassie’s Angel $9.50

Barrier 5 · Midfield · No leader

I’m with #1 Cassie’s Angel here. He’s been racing well, two seconds in his last few either side of a let-up, Nick Palmer sticks and he draws to get a soft run midfield from gate 5. The $1.60 on #3 Nielsen Park needs it all to fall right from a similar spot. At $9.50, Cassie’s Angel is far too big. Take him to win.
