Quiet Monday at Goulburn and there’s only the one we’re keen on. Seven races on the card and Race 5 is the only spot where the price and the run line up for us. Dancer’s Delight is $3.40 in a field of 10 over 1200m, and he’ll be coming from midfield after drawing gate 9. The track is a Good 4 with showers around, so it may get a touch of sting out of it, but nothing that should turn the form upside down. No standout at this meeting, just one we’re happy to take on.

Genuine speed on top means #3 Dancer’s Delight won’t be sitting off a crawl from gate 9, and that matters for a horse who wants cover. He’s won two of his last three, comes back off a let-up with the tongue tie staying on, and Louise Day sticks. Stormbringer is the one they’ll all follow at $4, but his last start effort doesn’t scream to me. $3.40 is good enough for me.
