Caulfield Horse Racing Tips Sat 10/10/26
Caulfield runs a staying card, from 1100m out to 2400m,…

Heavy 8 at the Gold Coast and the market has Alpha Bravo in race 4 around the $3.80 mark, which is where we’re keen. Seven races we’ve gone in on across the eight, and a few of them the punters are pushing the wrong runner. Race 5 is the one that stands out, market’s all over the favourite and we reckon Edge Of Infinity at $8 is where the value actually sits. Plenty to chew on if you don’t just follow the short ones in.
7. Shark Park $6.00
Barrier 4 · Midfield · No leader
$2.35 for #4 Secret Fenkel from gate 9 over 2200m on a Heavy 8 is too short for me. #7 Shark Park gets gate 4, has been knocking on the door with a couple of seconds and a third in recent starts, and Dylan Turner takes the ride. Same map shape as the fav but with the better draw, so he should land a softer run early. At $6, I’m with Shark Park.
4. Bottles Of Shells $5.50
Barrier 4 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Genuine speed up top on a Heavy 8, the fav has to grind in front at $3.10. #4 Bottles Of Shells settles off them from gate 4, second up off the freshen. I’d rather take $5.50 on the closer than a short leader doing all the work.
1. Alpha Bravo $3.80
Barrier 5 · Pace · Soft pace
#1 Alpha Bravo. $3.80. Blinkers and tongue tie stay on, he’s won his last two with that gear, and from gate 5 he can roll forward and control the race. The favourite has to come from gate 6 off the speed on a Heavy 8, and I’d rather take $3.80 on the horse dictating than $2.40 on the one chasing. He’s the one.
11. Edge Of Infinity $8.00
Barrier 4 · Midfield · No leader
Take #11 Edge Of Infinity at $8. Two thirds and a fourth from his last three says he’s right there. Chris Waller has him going, Osmond rides, and the cross-over nose band comes off for the first time. Gate 4 should give him every chance over 1400m. $2.50 on #15 So Elusive off one start is too cramped for me.
2. Our Magnus $4.60
Barrier 6 · Off Pace · No leader
Where’s the value in race 6? Not on the fav at $2.70 in a no-speed race on a Heavy 8. #2 Our Magnus settles off them, winkers stay on, and at $4.60 he can come over the top of them late.
2. Chilled With Ice $5.50
Barrier 7 · Midfield · No leader
Three on the bounce in his last prep tells you #2 Chilled With Ice has the ability. He’s back fresh for Matthew Dunn, Jett Newman rides, and the fav has to lead and dictate from gate 1 at $1.65 in a no-leader race on a Heavy 8. From midfield with a late kick, I’m on him at $5.50.
6. Gambino $5.50
Barrier 5 · Midfield · Soft pace
Schweida trains, Peisley rides, blinkers on, gate 5. I’d rather take $5.50 for #6 Gambino than $4.40 for #15 Hello Lovely doing the work up front on a Heavy 8. Each-way.
