Cranbourne Horse Racing Tips Fri 9/10/26
Nine races at Cranbourne and we're only keen on one,…

Flemington Finals day, and there’s plenty to work through. We’ve landed on eight races out of nine, all on a Soft 7 with showers about, so the ground is against the leaders more than the market thinks. No single one we love, just a card full of finals with big fields and fair prices. We’ve gone through the lot, and there’s a few we’re keen on at odds if you stay selective and don’t chase every short one.
1. Vivid Storm $5.00
Barrier 5 · Off Pace · Soft pace
$1.95 for #4 Stars Of Dom in a seven-horse field is too short for me. The pace looks soft, so #1 Vivid Storm has to come from off them, but that’s fine because he finishes his races off strongly. Second up off a win, gate 5, Harry Coffey stays on. At $5 he runs over the top of the fav late. I’m on him.
4. Ko Phangan $7.50
Barrier 4 · Pace · No leader
No genuine leader here, and #4 Ko Phangan can roll forward from gate 4 and dictate. The blinkers go on, Lachlan Neindorf stays put, and he ran a nice second earlier this prep before a let-up. Get him to the front on his own terms and they’ll have to chase him down. The favourite is $2.80 stuck in midfield from a wider gate, needing the run of the race. Give me the $7.50 up on speed.
3. Grid Girl $8.50
Barrier 9 · Off Pace · Soft pace
Big overs here. #3 Grid Girl is $8.50 and drawn out in gate 9, so she gets right back, but she comes home hard and won three on the bounce last prep. On a soft track with no real speed up front, she can pick them off late while #4 Duchess Zou does all the work in front at $3.60. Happy to take the each-way.
13. Sunsprite $7.50
Barrier 5 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Winkers going on first time is the hook. #13 Sunsprite draws 5, Jett Stanley stays on, and over 2500m of genuine tempo he can build into it from midfield. The favourite is $2.60 with the same job to do from gate 4. Give me the $7.50.
4. Vegas Jack $6.50
Barrier 9 · Midfield · No leader
#4 Vegas Jack’s won his last four, so $6.50 looks big. #2 The Western Front sits in the same midfield spot at $4.80, no better placed and plenty shorter. He’ll be charging home over 2600m. Take him.
6. Seafall $7.00
Barrier 9 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Where’s the value in the mile? #6 Seafall at $7. The pace looks genuine, so the fav Al Duca has to grind away in front at $2.60 while Seafall settles off them and picks them off late. Four wins from his last five, blinkers on. All over him.
2. Wise Inlaw $6.50
Barrier 1 · Off Pace · Genuine pace
I’m with #2 Wise Inlaw here at $6.50. He draws the rail in gate 1 and settles off what looks a genuine speed battle, coming off a win and a second. The fav Chains Of Love has to do all the work in front at $3.60, while Wise Inlaw gets the soft run and is poised to pounce late.
9. The Mean Fiddler $10.00
Barrier 2 · Off Pace · Genuine pace
The $3.30 favourite #1 Clevor Trever has to cross from gate 11, and that’s the crack in the race. #9 The Mean Fiddler gets the tuck-in from gate 2, and with genuine speed up front he can swoop late. Jye McNeil stays on. Ten bucks, I like him a lot.
