Cranbourne Horse Racing Tips Fri 9/10/26
Nine races at Cranbourne and we're only keen on one,…

Fine overhead at Echuca, but the track’s a Heavy 9 and that’s the story all day. No rain about means it won’t get worse, but they’re still slogging through heavy ground, so the form on top is honest form. Blue Typhoon in the 1 is our best bet, sitting back off a no-leader race in a big field. That’s the read across most of the card too, plenty of races with nobody keen to lead, which makes the run home the key. We’ve gone through all nine and there’s a few we like at the prices. Where it pays here is the horse that can get cover and finish over the top, not the one needing to be handy from the gate.
8. Blue Typhoon $3.00
Barrier 8 · Backmarker · No leader
Blinkers and ear muffs go on #8 Blue Typhoon, and that’s the angle I want. There’s no genuine leader, but he settles a length off them while the favourite gets back even further at $3.70. A couple of thirds and a second lately, and Cory Parish stays put. On a heavy 9 I’d rather take $3 on the horse landing closer than odds against one with the same problem from worse. Have him to win.
13. Tuxedo Miss $6.50
Barrier 5 · Backmarker · No leader
#4 Reign Capital’s no good to me at $2.70. With no genuine leader, #13 Tuxedo Miss actually settles closer than the fav does, so I’m not taking the short one out of a wide gate. The cross-over nose band goes on first time, Archie Alexander has her ready off a freshen, and she comes home over the top of them late. On a heavy 9, $6.50 is the price I want.
8. Divine Bellini $4.50
Barrier 2 · Leader · Soft pace
Soft tempo, drawn 2, and a horse that wants to lead. #8 Divine Bellini fits. He ran second first-up off a let-up, Will Gordon sticks, and a slow speed lets him dictate out in front. The favourite has to come at him from gate 9 on a heavy 9, and I’d rather have the leader at $4.50 than take $2.25 on one chasing.
7. Crush Puppy $4.20
Barrier 3 · Midfield · No leader
$4.20 for #7 Crush Puppy is the kind of overs I’m chasing. #5 Spicy Apple is the $2.25 favourite and still hasn’t won one, while Crush Puppy gets the blinkers on and a cheap run from gate 3 with Dylan Dunn aboard. Happy to take the price.
10. Triora $7.50
Barrier 6 · Midfield · No leader
Where’s the value in race 5? #10 Triora at $7.50. With no genuine leader, he actually settles closer than the $2.40 favourite, gets a cheap run from gate 6, and Will Gordon stays aboard. I’m happy to take the overs.
3. Royal Inference $5.00
Barrier 2 · Midfield · Soft pace
#3 Royal Inference, $5, and I’m on. He’s drawn 2, with a win and a second in his last three since the freshen, while the favourite carries the same midfield problem from a wider gate at $4.80. The inside run is his.
4. Colt Forty Five $4.20
Barrier 2 · Off Pace · Soft pace
Yeah, I’m on #4 Colt Forty Five. He won last start and knows how to finish, so the soft speed doesn’t bother me from gate 2. $4.20, that’ll do me.
10. Reasonable Point $5.50
Barrier 5 · Midfield · Soft pace
#10 Reasonable Point at $5.50, and Brodie Loy’s a booking I’ll take. With the blinkers on and a clean run from gate 5, he sits closer than the $3.90 favourite, who has to come from even further back. Good enough for me.
5. Starmae $4.60
Barrier 1 · Midfield · Genuine pace
Barrier 1 against the favourite’s carpark draw in gate 12, that’s the race for me. #5 Starmae gets the rail and the tongue control and lugging bit go on first time for Dwayne Reid. On genuine speed he’ll land a cheaper run than the $3.40 favourite working across from out wide. I’d take the $4.60 on the one already in the right spot.
