Good 4 at Dubbo and Fine overhead, so this is a straight read on the prices rather than the ground. Five we’re keen on across the ten, and the value is sitting in the middle of the market rather than the top of it. I’m Scarlett at $7 in the 2 and Mrs Bull at $5.50 in the last are both taking on favourites who have to do work of their own, and that’s where it pays. Tigletta at $2.35 in the 6 is the short one, and I’m still happy to be on from gate 3. No standout for us today, just five worth a look and a couple of prices I think are better than they read.

Real speed up front, which is what #12 I’m Scarlett wants sitting off them. She ran second last start. The favourite #4 More Cash is back from a spell and only ran fourth first up, so $3.90 is short enough for me. Gate 9 is the knock. I like her at $7.

Who actually leads this? Nobody obvious, and that suits #12 What A Gent rolling forward from gate 7. Duskaura is the danger from gate 10, but #12 What A Gent should get first crack at finding the better position. Give me the $4.20.

#2 Tigletta gets gate 3 second-up after winning her final run before the spell. There doesn’t look to be much speed, so from midfield Ashley Morgan can’t afford to get too far out of her ground. The draw helps with that. $2.35 is short, but she gets the run to stay close enough.

Won her last two and the blinkers stay on for #13 Puffin. There’s genuine speed up front, so she’ll have something to run onto from off the pace. I like her at $3.50 to win, not each-way.

I’m with #12 Mrs Bull at $5.50. She’s run third at each of her last two and keeps the winkers on for Mikayla Weir. The soft tempo isn’t ideal from off midfield, so she’ll need to be close enough turning for home, but $5.50 gives me enough to take the chance. Gate 9 is the other query.
